Lost Histories - The Gypsies of 1909
JoEllen Brydon's latest exhibition illustrates the experiences of a band of gypsies who visited Peterborough in the early 20th century. The installation setting is a parlor room featuring articles documenting the actual visit, alongside JoEllen's painted recreations of the event.
The exhibition is located at The Art Gallery of Peterborough, 250 Crescent Street in Peterborough from November 3rd, 2006 to January 7th, 2007.
Opening Reception: Friday November 3 at 7:00pm
Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
Award Winner: "Transformed: How Everyday Things Are Made"
Millbrook author and illustrator Bill Slavin and his brother Jim were awarded the Norma Fleck Award for Children's Non-Fiction at the Children's Literature Awards. Congratualations Bill on the completition of this five year project.
