Frank E. Cavell

Frank E. Cavell (1909-1980) was born in Saskatoon. He moved to Toronto and in the 1940s became an associate of the Ontario College of Art. He focused on painting landscapes. Cavell is an example of an artist who opens the door for budget-minded novice collectors of art with Canadian themes. This is because the high-end market, which includes The Group of Seven artists, is prohibitive for most people. Cavells are readily available, reasonably priced and represent good value.
