With over fifty children’s books to his credit, award-winning illustrator Bill Slavin's passion has always been illustration. Primarily illustrating either in pen and ink and watercolour, or acrylics, his work encompasses both picture book and non-fiction illustration. The illustrated story is central to his work, and the pieces displayed in The Millbrook Gallery reflect this philosophy.
Books illustrated by Slavin include The Cat Came Back, Stanley's Party and The Good Times Travel Agency series (both by Linda Bailey) and his own book The Stone Lion.
