Trevor McKinven

Trevor McKinven is a French-Canadian artist who grew up in a Scottish household in the Eastern Townships region of Québec. His artistic passion started at a young age where he developed a profound technical skill in capturing the likeness and essence of places on his uncle’s farm. His highly detailed scenes include the subject matter of sugar bushes, grazing cattle, and picturesque waterfronts. Trevor was encouraged to pursue his artistic talent further by his parents, and local artist, Ann Mitchell. It wasn’t until after he graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelors in Geography, and moved to Scotland that he returned to painting full-time.

Additionally, Trevor’s talent doesn’t stop with visual arts, he is also a playwright. He solely created a one-man play called, “They Came From Far Away” and he has performed it across Canada since 2010.
